Professionalism and self-reliance are key at De Trap. Regardless of which direction you choose, we strive to ensure that by the end of the program, you'll be independent and able to find your way in the world of acting and theater.
At De Trap, you'll broaden your perspective on acting and theater. You'll attend numerous performances, both by large, renowned companies and by smaller, experimental companies.

You'll be taught by inspiring, professional instructors who are passionate about their profession. You'll also learn from each other, collaborating as classmates to develop a vision for a role or piece. This way, over four years, you'll naturally create a professional network that you can draw upon after graduation.

Because we believe in solid professional knowledge and mastery of acting technique, both vocal and physical training are crucial.

In terms of voice development, we work with EVT (Estill Voice Training) in combination with the Maastricht Method, a method for voice use and textual processing developed with great success at the Maastricht Drama School.

As for physical training, we offer training specifically designed for actors. We also offer mime and stagefighting.
