Stacy Tolstoy is a Russian actress and filmmaker. She was born in Saint Petersburg and graduated from VGIK — the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow, widely regarded as the world’s oldest film school — where she trained in the workshop of the legendary director Sergey Solovyov.

Tolstaya’s acting credits include Andrey Zvyagintsev’s Minotaur, winner of the Grand Prix at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival; Sergey Solovyov’s Uti-Uti-Uti, which premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam; and Grigory Konstantinopolsky’s The Return of Robinson, among others.

A descendant of the family of Leo Tolstoy, she brings to her work a distinctive combination of literary lineage, cinematic discipline and emotional depth.
