Del Toro trained at the Moscow Art Theatre program in partnership with the University of Chicago, The Second City, Chicago, The Annoyance Theatre, and Improv Olympic. During her acting training, her teachers and mentors have included James Caan, and Joyce Piven. She is trained in Meisner, Stanislavski, and Long Form Improvisation. In Los Angeles, she has trained at The Margie Haber Studio, among other studios in the city.
