Thomas (er/ihm, cis) studied acting at the Folkwang University of the Arts from 2013-2017. In 2015 he received the Excellence Scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation. During his studies, he performed both at Schauspielhaus Bochum and Schauspiel Dortmund, whose production “Die Borderline Prozession” was invited to the 2017 Berlin Theatertreffen.

In his final thesis, “Die Armstrong Grenze”, Thomas examines the connections between misogyny and neoliberal individualization in late capitalist everyday life. Feminism and intersectional structures of exploitation remain the focus of his work to this day.

Following his studies, Thomas worked at the Coburg State Theater for two years and then decided to become self-employed in Cologne, from where he still works today.

Since becoming independent in 2019, Thomas has worked on numerous theater productions at state and independent theaters. The children's and youth play “Löwenherzen” won the jury prize at the Mühlheimer Theatertage in 2022, was invited to the Heidelberger Stückemarkt and received the award for “Outstanding Ensemble Performance” at the Westwind Festival 2022, as well as the Audience Award.

In 2024, Thomas and the kopróchoma collective produced the multimedia performance "FETTBERG. ABRAUM. LABYRINTH", which deals with the remnants of Western society and its victims.

In addition to his acting work, Thomas is politically active in various contexts. For example, he is a trade union member and advisory board member for the acting section of the NRW base association of the stage trade union "Genoss:innenschaft Deutscher Bühnen-Angehöriger" and represents the freelance artists of NRW as an assessor in the Freelancers' Council.
