ZuGabe {ToGive}
We continue our journey through Berlins districts and have found a temporary home in KAPELLE99 on Boxhagener Straße in Friedrichshain. Built in 1879 as Verheißungskirche (church of promise) in a rather rural suburb of Berlin, the former cemetery chapel is today located at the heart of the Kiez and has seen the many drastic changes this part of Berlin has already undergone in a very short time.
We invite you to a funeral that isn’t a funeral at which we challenge our ideas of the past, our own role in the present and ask the ultimate question for the future: Is Berlin really over, or do we still have the strength {ToGive} it another shot?
