A few days ago, The Testament of Ann Lee had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival @labiennale. After the screening, the actors received a fifteen-minute standing ovation and cheers from the audience, the longest so far at the festival. 👏👏👏

The film is directed by Mona Fastvold who also wrote the script together with Brady Corbet. They previously made the Oscar-winning film ("The Brutalist"). Produced by Kaplan Morrison, Intake Films and Proton Cinema. Swedish co-producer is Daniel Lägersten @laegersten, GötaFilm @gotafilm, in co-production with Film i Väst @filmivast. In the lead roles we see Amanda Seyfried @mingey, best known for her role in "Mamma Mia". Several scenes were shot in Gothenburg's harbor and archipelago and on the East Indiaman Götheborg at Eriksberg @theswedishshipgotheborg.

The Swedish actors are cast by David Färdmar @davidcarlgunnar.
