"What does Zohar mean?" I was often asked.
I was born in Israel April 3d 1971. My mother who immigrated from Chicago wanted to name me after her grand father Zelig. Old Ashkenazi jewish tradition, to name the living after the dead... A relative came up with this quite rare name: "Zohar."
Little did my parents know about The Book of Spledor that is called by it's hebrew name "Zohar. "The book containing the mystical knoldege of the jewish tradition.
Well, Zohar means, light. Not a direct light but the glow from a hidden source, something like in a movie theater :-)
