My name is Vanja Dugum Matović, I am 35 years old, born in Ljubljana and currently based in Sarajevo. I graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo in 2018, where I am now completing my Master’s degree. Alongside my academic journey, I also work at the Academy as a Senior Teaching Assistant in Acting, which allows me to combine my passion for performance with the joy of mentoring young actors.

Acting has been my lifelong passion, and over the years I have had the privilege of performing in numerous theatre productions, where I gained most of my professional experience. Although theatre has been the foundation of my artistic journey, film has always been equally close to my heart. I deeply value the unique challenges and creative opportunities that film acting brings, and I am eager to continue expanding my work on screen.

As an actress, I bring dedication, sensitivity, and authenticity to every role. I enjoy exploring the emotional depth of characters and finding the subtle nuances that make them real and relatable to the audience. My theatre background has given me discipline, stage presence, and a strong sense of collaboration, while my growing work in film continues to inspire me with its intimacy and artistic detail.

Beyond acting, I live a very active and positive lifestyle. I love sports, not only as a way to stay physically fit but also as a means to stay mentally balanced and focused. I also believe in the power of laughter—it keeps me grounded and allows me to connect with people on and off stage. My outlook on life is positive and optimistic, and I bring that same energy into my work as an actress.

I am excited to continue my journey in acting, to explore new and challenging roles, and to contribute my creativity and dedication to projects that inspire and move audiences.
