Trine Runge originally started as a dancer, but it was comedy and tragedy that attracted her to the theater. As a newly hatched actress from National School of Acting at Odense Theatre, Trine was employed at that theater, and since then, she has entertained on both large and small stages in Denmark.

During the last 15 years, Trine has mainly worked in film and TV where she has played significant roles in Danish TV series such as "The Gregersen Family" and "The History of Denmark".

Trine also work as a voice talent. In 2017, the international artist Marina Abramovic chose to let Trine read Karen Blixen's and HC Andersen's texts in Abramovic's three-year-long exhibition "Method for Treasures" at the Royal Danish Library.

Originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Trine Runge is a Copenhagen-based theater, television and film actress.

She received in 1986 a MFA in Acting at the Theater School of Odense Theatre.
