Tommy Green is an award-winning actor, writer, director, and musician whose work spans film, theatre, and music with an emphasis on emotional truth, humour, and humanity. Trained at Drama Centre London and the University for the Creative Arts, he is known for grounded performances and intimate, character-driven storytelling.

His short film Crazy for You received international acclaim, winning Best Student Film at the Yeti Film Festival and screening at eight festivals. It earned nominations for Best Emerging Director and Best Original Screenplay at the Filmhaus Film Festival, and for Best Director, Best Screenwriter, and Best Short Film at the Iceberg Film Festival. Praised for its originality and heart, the film explores loneliness, love, and mental health with a blend of humour and heartbreak.

Tommy’s earlier film Before I Go was commended for its sincerity and cinematic depth, following three estranged friends who reunite to support one of them through terminal illness. His debut, The Importance of Being Urnest, a heartfelt coming-of-age story about grief and humility, premiered at Drama Centre London’s cinema to overwhelming applause.

On stage, he wrote and performed the acclaimed one-man musical To Be Frank, exploring alcoholism and ambition in the arts. The show was named Best Show of the UCA Acting Maltings Theatre Festival and praised for honesty and emotional impact. His performance as Orlando in As You Like It drew attention from the Royal Shakespeare Company, while his Richard III was praised for energy, charisma, and psychological depth.

As a musician, Tommy performs under the name Yoyo Pond, blending experimental, grunge, rap, and storytelling. His music combines humour with vulnerability, tackling mental health and human issues with honesty and soul.

Tommy continues to develop original films, features, and an animated series while expanding his teaching and mentorship practice.
