With over 40 years' experience across stage, television and film, Steve Agyei is a versatile performer.

He began his career as a ballet dancer before moving into the West End, performing in iconic productions including Porgy and Bess at the Royal Opera House, directed by Sir Trevor Nunn; Carmen Jones at the Old Vic, directed by Simon Callow; The Eartha Kitt Show at the Shaftesbury Theatre; and Starlight Express in Japan.

He has appeared in over fifty pop videos and worked with artists including Mariah Carey, the Spice Girls and Sting, as well as numerous commercials.

His screen debut came in the film adaptation of Porgy and Bess, also directed by Sir Trevor Nunn.

Steve’s on-screen presence led to him becoming the face of the BBC’s Athens Olympic Legends campaign, playing a hero athlete competing against the Greek Gods.

This led to further television roles including Bump and Grind and Bigger Than Beyoncé.

He later moved into movement direction, working with Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and David Beckham for Pepsi, and Usher for the BBC, as well as creating global campaigns and commercials for adidas and Nike.

Alongside this, he worked as a football and fitness coach with Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion, contributing to the staging of opening ceremonies for the Champions League and FA Cup Finals.

As a personal trainer and yoga teacher, he has worked with high-profile clients including pop stars, world champion boxers and prime ministers.

Steve now focuses on acting and writing, splitting his time between London and the Scottish Highlands. Recent work includes a commercial campaign featured across television, digital platforms, rail & bus networks and outdoor advertising throughout Scotland. He is also the creator of Highland Justice, an original eight part crime drama series and novel set in the Highlands of Scotland.
