Stéphane Bonnet is a French actor, born on July 9, 1958, in Casablanca.

Trained on stage, he began his career in the 1980s, building a rich and eclectic body of work across theatre, film, and television. He first gained attention in The Diary of Anne Frank, where he portrayed Peter, already demonstrating a remarkable sensitivity and precision in his acting.

His career took a significant turn with Adieu je t’aime, in which he starred alongside Bruno Cremer and Marie-Christine Barrault. This breakthrough role marked the beginning of an extensive film career, leading to collaborations with renowned international actors.

He notably appeared in the James Hadley Chase tetralogy, sharing the screen with talents such as David Carradine, Arielle Dombasle, Marisa Berenson, Robert Mitchum, and Marie Laforêt.

His career also expanded across Europe, with notable roles in Italy, including Viaggio d’Amore alongside Omar Sharif and Léa Massari, as well as in Paprika, confirming his ability to adapt to a wide range of cinematic styles.

A versatile character actor, Stéphane Bonnet has maintained a consistent presence over the decades, seamlessly alternating between leading and supporting roles in both film and television. His understated yet compelling screen presence brings depth and authenticity to every character he portrays.
