Born in Athens, Greece, with roots in Istanbul, Sissy Toumasi is a trained actress from the Athens Conservatory Drama School with a dynamic presence across film and theatre. She began her screen career in the award-winning film Miss Violence, which received the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival, and gained theatrical recognition for her performance as Hedvig in Ibsen’s The Wild Duck, earning a Best Actress nomination. In 2019, she won Best Actress at the Drama International Short Film Festival for The Weight of the Sea, and was selected as a Berlinale Talent in 2024. She has trained with renowned acting coach Jean Louis Rodriguez and further developed her physical performance through the Fighting Monkey workshop, bringing a versatile skill set that includes English fluency, boxing, and a strong academic background in History. Holding a degree in History, she combines discipline and curiosity with the ability to thrive under pressure. Passionate about independent cinema, international productions, and emotionally driven storytelling, she is particularly drawn to social dramas, thrillers, and experimental film.
