Silvia Gallerano is the “extraordinary, sublime and devastating” (Guardian) first Italian actress to win The Stage Award (2012) as Best Solo Performer for Cristian Ceresoli‘s “La Merda“, winner of the Fringe First Award for Writing Excellence, which Gallerano has been performing for fourteen years in both English and Italian with great success all over the world. 
Her collaboration with Ceresoli has continued with Happy Hour (MET, Denmark; Edinburgh Festival) and La Rivolta della Gioia, a rebellious musical where kids with their enthusiasm try to stop the war in Palestine and they change History, unleashing a sung party. 
From 2022, Gallerano performs Svelarsi with an all-female creative team and for an only women audience (cis, trans, non binary). 
An “absolute discovery for cinema” (Marco Giusti, Rai2), she has worked on successful television and film productions such as “Bang Bang Baby” (Prime Video), “La Belva” (Netflix), “Il Miracolo” (Sky), “Riccardo va all’Inferno” (Turin Film Festival, Prime Video), “Asino Vola” (Locarno Film Festival, RaiPlay), “Baby” (Netflix), “Chiamami Ancora Amore” (RaiPlay), “Un anno di scuola” (Venice Film Festival).
Since 2020, she has been a member of the research team at faa – Fabrique Autonome des Acteurs, a centre for research and production in the performing arts based in Moselle, eastern France. 
Throughout her career, Gallerano has collaborated with distinguished figures from the literary world, including John Berger, Suad Amiry and Assia Djebar.
