Sijtze van der Meer (1972) graduated from the Mime School Amsterdam in 1999. He then studied for two more years at the Amsterdam School for Dramatic Arts. After graduating, Sijtze played various roles with companies like Het Vervolg, IJswoestijn, Theatergroep De Kern and Toneelgroep De Appel, among others, and he was permanently affiliated with Theatergroep Würz. Since 2009, he has been a member of the Bende van Branoul and can therefore regularly be seen in performances by Theater Branoul.

In addition to his theater work, Sijtze has played roles in various television series and films, working with directors such as Beer ten Kate, Annemarie van de Mond, Joram Lürsen, Arno Dierickx, Dana Nechushtan, Paula van der Oest and others.

Sijtze is also active as a voice-over, voice actor, drama teacher and director.
