Shanna Slaap is an actress and singer based in Amsterdam. She recently starred in the successful stage production Nieuwe Buren and played her first leading role in Pretty Woman – The Musical, for which she was nominated for Best Leading Actress in a Large-Scale Musical. Her voice can be heard in animated films including Disney’s Wish and Netflix’s Spellbound. She also spent a year performing in the German production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, playing Arabia and frequently stepping into the role of Satine. In 2019, she made her international debut on London’s West End in On Your Feet. In the Netherlands, she has performed in major musicals such as The Bodyguard and Aladdin.

Shanna trained at the Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts and holds a master’s degree in Musical Theatre from Fontys School of the Arts. She continuously invests in her craft, having studied acting through various methods and courses, including the Sanford Meisner Technique, training with Machteld Hauer, and the Chubbuck Technique.
