Scarlett started life on a council estate in East London and built her writing career from scratch. Now she is doing the same as an actor.

Described by the New York Times as a 'peculiar gonzo genius', Scarlett has always included performance in her work, from live events and schools tours to teaching Stanislavski in her writing workshops.

From compelling villainess to boyish clown, Scarlett is playful, risk-taking and intelligent. She brings energy, fun and depth to every project.

She is Honorary Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Kent, and an active member of the Lindley Players and the Canterbury Shakespeare Festival.
