I’m Sargis Galstyan — actor, playwright, and director.
Born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1979, I’ve built my career by weaving together my cultural heritage with a universal stage language.
I graduated as a Director-Choreographer, and from 1998 to 2004 I served as Principal Dancer of the Armenian state company Barekamutyun, while also working as artistic director of the Pioner and SNG Step Studio dance companies. A key moment in my journey was winning the Grand Prix in Sochi (Russia), which marked the beginning of my artistic path in Italy.
My work in film and television began with Sharm Production in Armenia and later expanded in Italy, where I appeared in productions such as Fuoco Amico, Tutto il mondo è paese, Rocco Schiavone, Fosca Innocenti, Un posto al sole, Il Re, and Assassin Club.
In parallel, I continue to develop my work in theater as an actor, director, and playwright. My directorial debut came in 2015 with Il Grande Male. Since then, I have written and directed several stage productions, including Blablateca di Tango, Pole Dance, La Casa delle Api, and I Quattro Cavalieri dell’Apocalisse.
For me, art is a translation of the soul — and every project is an opportunity to explore new forms of scenic truth.
