Saïda Jawad is a French actress, screenwriter, and playwright born in Roubaix to a family of Moroccan origin. As a child, she played the accordion for over ten years, encouraged by her father.
From a very young age, she developed a passion for theater and enrolled at the Roubaix Conservatory of Dramatic Arts.
She made her stage debut in Jean Anouilh's play Antigone, which was a great success and allowed her to tour throughout France.
She moved to Paris to pursue her acting career and landed her first film roles in C'est la vie, Les Casablancais, and 17, rue Bleue, before taking on numerous television roles.
In 2006, she wrote and performed in the autobiographical play Monsieur Accordéon, which was critically acclaimed. She received the SACD Prize. After performing it in Paris, she appeared at the Avignon Festival before touring France and Morocco. She made her mark on French cinema by portraying Rachida Dati in Xavier Durringer's *La Conquête*.
On television, she appeared in series and films. She also wrote and starred in television movies such as *Tout est bon dans le cochon*, which won an award at the Luchon Film Festival and was nominated for a Globes de Cristal. She followed this with *Super Lola*.
Her eclectic career and creative commitment have made her a prominent figure in French theater and cinema.
