Rienus Krul (1978) trained as an actor at drama school. (HKU class 2001). 

Until the age of six, Krul lived with his parents in Mali, Australia and Indonesia, after which the family moved back to the Netherlands. Krul graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts in 2001 as an actor. He has played in various theater productions at, among others, Nationaal Toneel Jong/Stella Den Haag, TG Kassys and the Onhouden Toneel. 

As an actor, Rienus has specialized in film and TV productions and voiceover work. He played major roles in cinema films such as Heavy Love (2021), Casanova's (2020), Prey (2016) and 100% Coco (2018). Rienus won the BEST ACTOR prize 3 times at the 48 hours film festival (2021/2020/2018). For OPEN Rotterdam, together with Kuba Szutkowski, he created the series “Rotterdam in Quarantine” (NFF 2020 selection) and “Rotterdam from Quarantine” (2021). In 2023 he is co-creator of the series "Talk Powder". 

Since 2018 he has been featured in Klene's commercials. Since 2020, Rienus has been the face and voice of Essent. 

Rienus has a home studio from which he records voiceovers.
