I’m Remi, an actor, writer, director and voice actor with a deep passion for storytelling in every form. On stage, I’ve performed in productions such as Robin Hood, Ben X, 14-18, Wickie the Viking, Titanic, Mamma Mia, Red Star Line and many more. I’m also known as Bertus Bandiet, the sidekick of Piet Piraat, a character loved by families and children across Belgium and beyond. Recently, I returned as Kamiel Laenens in 14-18, and soon I’ll appear in Alice in Wonderland.

Besides acting, I work as a scriptwriter. I wrote theatre productions like #GekraaktDoorEigenNaakt and Kop of Munt, and I write for Studio 100 shows such as The Big Sinterklaas Show, Samson & Marie Christmas Show and the many Piet Piraat shows. I have also written lyrics for musicals and TV series including GameKeepers, Nachtwacht and Lijn 3.

On television, I appeared in Wij van België, Jij Kiest!, Lang Leve …, ROX, Kosmoo, Ketnet musical, Campus 12, K2 zoekt K3, Film: Het feest van tante Rita and Thuis. 

As a voice actor, I am frequently requested for animation, TV and commercials.

Directing is another major passion of mine. I’ve directed productions such as Domino, Annie, Jungle Book and Oliver!  with new premieres like Beet, Kerstmagie and MIJN leven coming up.

I graduated from the Fontys Academy of Arts in Tilburg (Musical Theatre) with my self-written performance Troebel Water, dedicated to my niece Juline, a project that reflects what I believe theatre should do: move people.

My goal is simple: to bring stories to life, whether that’s on stage, on set, in the studio or on paper.
