After working as an Assistant director for the theatre company “Seasons of Beeing” with Jean Luc Pradalier and Marie Sauveau Raphael moved to Paris to pursue his acting carrer. He joined the Keys Acting Studio at the invitation of its director Sei Shiomi working closely with Tony Thich (Principal Movement Researcher at the Studio). These years were a precious foundation for his artistic path.

Subsequently, he played in several short films with both international and French crews. During this period he collaborated with Laurent Jordy, playing in his short film «New York» presented at the Paris cinematheque. Raphael also began a close collaboration with young French filmmakers from the collective PARAD Films, the highlight being «Lys» by Niaina Maromiha, which will soon be released to festivals worldwid

In 2020, Raphael landed the lead role in «Native Speaker», written and directed by Anglo-Polish filmmaker Alex Ochman. The film was released at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival (LA Shorts Fest) and Raphael’s work was awarded the Best Actor award at the Rome Prisma Film Awards. Native Speaker has accumulated 7 Festival nominations, Alex Ochman was awarded the Best Director Award at the Boden Film Festival. This tour was subsequently concluded with two Nominations at the MADRIFF (Madrid Independent Film Festival), Best Director for Alex, and Best Actor for Raphael.

Tony Thich offered the titled role of Warren Straub in the first french production of “This is our Youth” by Kenneth Lonergan. The vreative residency took place at the Armand Theatre in Salon de Provence and the premiere is imminent.
