BIO – Pedro Sousa Loureiro

Born in Coimbra, (Portugal), in 1989.

Master degree in Theater Directing at the Royal Institute of Theater Cinema and Sound in Brussels, with a training scholarship in Arts Abroad from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. (https://gulbenkian.pt/en/)

Attended the Visual Arts course at Superior de Artes e Design (Caldas da Rainha) and has a bachelor degree in Theater from the Superior School of Theater and Cinema in Lisbon.

In theatre, worked with: Maria João Rocha, Joris Lacoste, Lisbeth Gritter, Jorge Silva Melo, Ricardo Neves-Neves.

Founded OS PATO BRAVO with Joana Cotrim in 2014, with whom co-created OF OF MEDEIA (First Symptoms - 2014), MO NU MENTOS (Olga Roriz Company Space - 2015).

Staged BEAUTIFUL HOUSE, based on the universe of the artist Martha Rosler, with support for the creation of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Caves Liceu Camões - 2017).

OS PATO BRAVO (The Wild Duck) won the 2016 New Awards, in the Theater Category.

Creates IMPERATORE at Liceu Camões in 2018, also by himself, considered one of the 10 best shows of the year 2018 by Time Out Lisbon.

In 2024, created the show "Long Summer Dream" with presentations at Kaaistudios/Kaaitheater and Bronks Theatre, in Brussels.

- Ticket to Heaven by Joana Cotrim, KVS BOX. (Belgium, 2017);

- En Loleeta by Axelle Verkempick (Belgium 2018);

- Today Art Initiative - Rural Art residency in Talin and Byurakan with the support of the armenian ministry of culture  - (Armenia 2019).

- Art residency with Rota Clandestina in Talin, with the international portuguese funding DGARTES, (Armenia, 2023).
