Paulo Quedas is a Portuguese actor and performer, born on January 4, 1988, in Porto.

He trained in Camera and Lighting at Restart and grew up in Montemor-o-Novo, in the Alentejo region, where he first came into contact with the performing arts. He began his path in amateur theatre with Theatron – Associação Cultural, which led to collaborations with several creators and his first professional opportunities.

He has worked as a performer in multidisciplinary projects across theatre, dance and object theatre. His career is marked by collaborations with artists such as Hugo Sovelas, Carlos Marques, João Garcia Miguel, Amândio Anastácio, André Amálio, Tereza Havlíčková, Tiago Vieira, Francisco Campos, Susana Nunes, Nuno Lucas, Vera Mantero, Miguel Pereira, Miguel Loureiro and Madalena Victorino.

Alongside his work as an interpreter, he has developed personal creation projects, including amateur theatre with young participants at Theatron and solo works such as Canção de Embalar, produced by Monstro Colectivo with artistic direction by Graça Ocha.

He has also collaborated closely with his sister, Lúcia Moniz, sharing directing work. Their first co-creation, As Aventuras de João Sem Medo, was produced by Palco13. Since 2021, they have continued this partnership through community theatre projects with young people and adults in São Bento, on Terceira Island. In 2023, they co-founded Gerónima – Associação Cultural. In June 2024, they premiered their latest production, Eles São Mesmo Assim, in São Bento, created with a group of 15 adolescents.

In 2024, as a performer, Paulo premiered As Criadas (Companhia do Chapitô), Luta Armada by Hotel Europa in co-production with Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, Friza by Cães do Mar, and Rumor by Lavrar o Mar, while continuing to tour several other productions.
