Berlin-based actor, originally from Minnesota (USA). Graduated with honors from the Moscow Art Theater (MXAT im. A.P. Chekhova) in 2009, one of only two Americans and a handful of foreigners to have ever graduated from the traditional (Russian-language) acting program. After graduating, Odin immediately began a five-year run playing the beloved intern Phil Richards on Russia's cult-classic sitcom Interns.

In 2013, an unexpected invitation from director Kirill Serebrennikov (Leto, Petrov's Flu, The Disappearance of Josef Mengele) led to 10 prolific years as a troupe actor at Russia's most renowned avant-garde theater, Gogol Center. During this time, Odin played lead roles in nearly fifteen premiers, was nominated twice for the Golden Mask for best actor, and performed in multiple international festivals, including three residencies at Festival d'Avignon: Dead Souls 2016, Outside 2019, The Black Monk 2022.

In 2022, Odin premiered his first lead role in a feature film at the 75th Festival de Cannes in Serebrennikov's feature film Tchaikovsky's Wife. He played the titular role of Pyotr Tchaikovsky. In 2024, Odin was featured in Serebrennikov's film Limonov: The Ballad in five different roles alongside Ben Whishaw at the 77th Festival de Cannes.

A guest artist at Hamburg's Thalia Theater from 2022-2025 (The Black Monk, Die Rache der Fledermaus, Barocco, Legende: Paradjanov), Odin made his solo opera debut in 2025 at the Dutch National Opera in the iconic role of the Simpleton in M. Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov.
