Octav Poncu debuted on stage after an intensive training program at the Inlight Acting School, as part of a volunteer action, with the song Cars through Romania, directed by Alina Grigore.
After the debut, all the acting modules followed, starting with beginner acting, advanced acting and film acting. The theater acting modules were completed with a performance, and the Belgrade Trilogy has already had two performances.
The novel Zero is regularly performed by the acting group made up of former students of the Inlight acting school, based on an original text written and directed by Alina Grigore (SSIFF winner in 2021), as well as the performance "Hai, Doamne-ajuta" awarded at The AMA-torissima Festival with the Jury Prize for the best show, in which he plays the main role.
He also starred in three short films: The Funeral, directed by Paul Berenstein, winner of the best Romanian short film at the Short Film Breaks Festival in 2021; The bike, directed by Alexandra Nuta; and Hildegard, directed by Sorin Nuță.
He played an episodic role in the feature film "Unde merg elefantii" directed by Gabi Sarga and Catalin Rotaru, as well as in a series produced by Antena 1.
