The young actor Nicolai Katalenic grew up near Freiburg. In Freiburg, he completed his acting diploma at the drama school, earning his stage qualification as an actor. Already during his studies, he gained stage experience and appeared, among others, as Maître Jacques in „der Geizige“by Molière, directed by Nuscha Nistor; as Thomas Putnam in The Crucible by Miller, directed by Markus Schlüter; and as Hettore Gonzaga, Prince of Guastalla, in Emilia Galotti by Lessing, directed by Dirk Schröter. In the 2022/23 season, he began his first engagement at the Theater für Kinder, where he played, among others, the role of the Mad Hatter in the production Alice in Wonderland, directed by Sascha Mink. In 2023, Nicolai Katalenic performed as Ambrogio in The Barber of Seville at the Chamber Opera Hamburg.

Nicolai Katalenic has also taken part in many short film productions, including 99Fire Films under the direction of Jona Menuet.

In addition, he has gained extensive experience as an extra in various productions: Biohackers, Takeover (Cinema movie), twice in Tatort (Ludwigsburg and Black Forest editions), and Die Fallers (SWR).

Most recently, Nicolai Katalenic landed his first larger speaking role in two scenes on German television (Tiere bis unters Dach / ARD).
