Natacha Romão is a Portuguese actress and performer-creator, born in Lisbon in 2004.

She completed her secondary-level training in Acting at Escola Profissional de Imagem (EPI), where she developed her final projects under the coordination of Professor Cristina Cavalinhos and the guidance of Professor José Mateus. During her studies, she presented As Visões de Simone Machard, based on Bertolt Brecht’s play, as her pre-final project, and Joana, adapted from O Crime da Aldeia Velha by Bernardo Santareno, as her final professional qualification project.

She began her professional career in 2022 with the company Primeiros Sintomas, performing in Gian Carlo Menotti’s opera Labirinto. In 2023, she returned to the same company to perform in The Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare.

In 2023, she attended the first year of the degree in Artistic and Cultural Mediation at the Escola Superior de Educação of the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute, where she also completed a curricular internship with the theatre company A Comuna. In parallel, she trained at Oficinas de Teatro Lisboa, taking part in the production Salão de Banquete Escuro, based on 4.48 Psychosis by Sarah Kane.

That same year, she co-created the performance piece Oh Velhas da Minha Terra, developed with fellow students and inspired by the traditions, daily life and aspirations of the town of Arraiolos, incorporating movement and poetry by António Gedeão.

She is currently continuing her artistic training under the direction of theatre director Cláudio Hochman.
