Mélody Moudenc

About me

View profile

Passionate about theatre since childhood, Mélody Moudenc directed her first play at the age of 10, developing a piece through devised theatre with the support of her primary school teacher. At 18, she left Toulouse for Paris, where she spent four years training with various instructors: vocal work and group listening with Marcus Borja, actor direction with Alain Gaintzburger, neutral mask (Lecoq method) with Raphaëlle Doyon, expressive mask with Patrick Forian, mime (Marceau method) with Murielle Roland, and ethnoscenology with Katia Légeret through an introduction to Kathakali and Bharatanatyam. She also took part in masterclasses and workshops with Eugenio Barba and the Odin Teatret, Katrin Van Beurden, Ariane Mnouchkine, and the Théâtre du Soleil company.During this time, she landed her first role in Royaumes by Barthélémy Sanchez and acted in several student short and feature films.
Firmly convinced of the benefits of theatre practice from an early age, she dedicated her Master’s thesis (MEEF, primary education, completed in 2023) to the development of oral and physical expression in children involved in theatre. Around the same period, she explored stop motion animation and taught improvisation to young adults—a space for artistic experimentation.
Back in Paris in 2023, she briefly joined a film collective where she wrote short formats and directed actors. She also began teaching theatre in after-school programs, combining English learning, improvisation, and devised performance. From 2024 to 2025, she returns to the stage, playing Antalya in La Bouche du Diable by Margot Mismetti, followed by Blood Wedding by Federico García Lorca, directed by Léa-Anaïs Passard.
