Martin developed his acting skills in theatre and has been in a number of productions for English language theatre groups in Budapest and is also involved in independent theatre productions helping to highlight the rising talent. Soon after he began in theatre, he started to venture into film, appearing on a Hungarian TV show, doing some online ad campaigns, before landing speaking roles in a series and film. He is actively engaged with short film projects both in Budapest and Prague as well as in his native Cork, Ireland.

He studied acting with the English language theatre group, Dramaworks (Faye Bradbrook, Christine Grace Szarko), Meisner technique with Patrick McCullough, and the Chubbuck Method with Adam Davenport (TIAS).
