The dream of studying drama in New York with William Esper came true from 1984-87. I stayed in New York or five years working as a model, waitress, and actress. I moved back to Stockholm and studied scriptwriting at the Dramatic Institute. In 1991, I met Eva Callenbo, another scriptwriter. We wrote the play My Sister and played the two main characters. The performance was very well received, praised, and evoked strong emotions in many different theaters throughout the country for over 90 performances. I got to play a real character role as a mentally handicapped person. It was a wonderful time. My assignments for TV started pouring in, and I worked as an actress in drama series like Skilda Världar, Rederiet etc and more lately in Portkod and Skitsamma, directed by Nour el Refai and movies like Den ofrivillige Golfaren and Bröllopsfotografen. I´ve been a scriptwriter for SVT, TV4 and directing Blåsningen, TV3 and OP7 Kanal 5 and SVT's drama documentary En handelsresande i liv. I produced TV documentaries and created one of the first reality series I nöd eller lust. 2004 I was asked to write a play and perform in Odenteatern. I wrote a monologue Vem styr musen? about sexism without a finger-pointing tone. It was a great success for over ten years. I played 12 different female characters in one hour with a mix of comedy and drama, keeping the audience in a firm grip, making them swing between laughter and seriousness in a liberating way. I have been playing many parts and directing plays in different theatres since then and are still playing my monologue Vem styr musen? off and on. The latest part I did in a film is in an upcoming movie Godmode directed by Emil Jonsvik.
