Maria Braga is a Portuguese actress, born and raised in Lisbon.

A graduate of ACT – Escola de Atores, she highlights her work in the productions Búfalos, Cyrano de Bergerac and Grease, directed respectively by Pedro Carraca, Petronille de Saint Rapt and António Pires.

In cinema, she collaborated with director David Bonneville on the film Octameron.

Throughout her artistic journey, she has encountered diverse teachers and techniques that have shaped her as an artist, with special emphasis on her residency at Teatro O Bando. Professionally, she was directed by Aleta Chapelle in Midsummer Night’s Dream, performed at the Jardim Botânico in Lisbon.

She also took part in O Principezinho at the Palco Ticketline in Parque Mayer.

In other projects, she worked with director Matilde Trocado and with choreographers such as Paula Careto, Fernando Duarte and Sofia Loureiro. On camera, she has appeared in several short films.

She continues to invest in her training as an actress. Grounded in acting, she enjoys exploring music and movement/dance—different forms of expression sharing the same artistic essence.

Her development includes training at Mountview – Academy of Theatre Arts, EDSAE – Escola de Dança e Teatro Musical, and workshops with Marco Medeiros and Elaine Petricoff.

She is fascinated by words, images and stories, by the complexity of human experience.
