Actor, director and playwright is known as one of the best Italian "Harlequins". As an actor he has worked with, among others: M. Bolognini, A. Camilleri, E. Chouraqui, R. De Simone, F. Fellini, G. Mauri, G. Pressburger, J. Savary, M. Scaparro, L. Squarzina, C. Verdone, holding leading roles with the Teatro Stabile di Roma, Bolzano and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. On television he was the protagonist of the opening of the 1987 World Athletics Championships (worldwide vision) and as a stand-up comedian in Fantastico13 (finalist). In 1995, with the Obiettivo Atlantide company he founded, he won the Youth Project of the Italian Theatre Authority. As an author, he won the 2003 Flaiano Prize for Dramaturgy with "The Looking Glass," the Carlo D'Angelo Prize (at the 2004 Vallecorsi Prize) with "Nostalgia del Futuro," and received a special mention at the 2007 Contemporary Drama Competition promoted by ETI, AGIS, and SIAE for "L'anima sotto la città." Since 2009, he has been the artistic director of the Roman Carnival. He was responsible for the Artistic Direction of the Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto in the 2016/17 season. He was a finalist for the 2019 Fiuggi Storia Prize for nonfiction with "Tripoli Addio" – Winner of the 2019 Immagine Latina Prize for performance. Some of his plays have been produced by the Teatro Argentina in Rome and by the Teatro Stabili of Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. He is the author of the texts of the “Train of the Unknown Soldier” (2021) and the “Train of Remembrance” (2024-2025) which crossed the country at the initiative of the Italian government.
