Karel obtained his masters from the Catholic University of Leuven, where he majored in Engineering. Not being fulfilled with this career, he went to the Theatre Academy of Amsterdam and the craft of acting.  There, he discovered his deep passion for creating eccentric and exotic characters. His heart beats faster for films like Black Swan, Man Bites Dog, etc. He enjoys seeking out extremes and adventure. His best day on set was high up in the Alpine mountains during a snowstorm. On top of that, he believes in the power of open and communicative collaboration, where everything is laid out on the table. Never learned to drink coffee, but a cookie is always welcome.
