Junko Murakami is a multidisciplinary Japanese artist: actress, puppeteer, clown, musician, storyteller, and director. Trained at the École Jacques Lecoq in Paris and at Kiklos in Italy, she develops a visual and poetic universe driven by her clown character, Princesse Monokini.

She was notably nominated for Best Actress at the Rivoli International Film Festival and received the Best Actor (Female) award at the Filmeraa International Film & Music Video Festival for her leading role in the short film The Tea at the Bottom of the Teapot, directed by Lou Ma Ho.
She performs a wide range of roles, from comedic to dramatic, often portraying mysterious or unconventional characters. She also appears in commercials and institutional films, and lends her voice to documentaries, advertisements, and corporate productions.

Her act Origami Dancing (Audience Award at the Ningyō Festival) and her performances at venues such as the Avignon Festival and Théâtre aux Mains Nues demonstrate her mastery of multiple artistic techniques, which she integrates into her creations.

A certified puppetry graduate (RNCP), she continues to explore clowning and puppetry through a distinctive visual and narrative approach.
