I have been developing my perfomance by undertaking Acting courses, working on set in walk on roles over a number of years and currently as an Actor in a drama series (Mintville) which is being filmed presently.
From 1989 to 2019 I served as a Police Officer in Staffordshire Police and South Wales Police up to the rank of Assistant Chief Constable. During this time I served in a variety of roles including Uniformed and Detective roles, including as a Senior Investigating Officer for Homicides.
Specialist roles and accreditations included Firearms Commander, Public Order Commander, Counter Terrorism Commander and Multi Agency critical incident command. I was the lead officer in Wales for serious organised crime and counter terrorism.
From 2020 to 2023 I was Director of the Wales Violence Prevention Unit. This was a Home Office funded multi- agency unit (including Police) responsible for reducing serious violent crime in Wales. I continued to work closely with Police Forces in this role.
On retirement from these full time roles, I became the Chairperson of Crimestoppers in Wales and continue to work as Chair for this charity on a voluntary basis.
My retirement has enabled me to focus on Acting full time and to develop my skills through practice and training.
