Joes Brauers is an award-winning young actor, with an impressive resume. He began his career at the age of 8 and is now known for his roles in Hardcore Never Dies (2023), Do Not Hesitate (Tribeca Film Festival and Dutch entry for the Oscars/Academy Awards 2021), Quo Vadis Aida (Golden Bear for Best Film Berlinale Film Festival, nominated for the Oscar/Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film 2020) and the award-winning short Fuck A Fan (2024), for which he won a Golden Calf for Best Actor. In 2026 Joes will be seen as the main character in Youri (2026), alongside Levan Gelbakhiani, and he will be representing the Netherlands in Berlinale as one of European Film Promotion's Shooting Stars.

He starred in several TV series, including a leading role in the upcoming costume-drama Grand Hotel on the Sea (2026, NPO), De Vuurwerkramp (2025, NPO), Elixer (2025, NPO), De Droom van de Jeugd (2023, NPO) and Dirty Lines (2022, Netflix). On stage, he starred in numerous shows, including Verdriet is het Ding met Veren (2025), Dagboek van een Herdershond (Best Actor Musical in The Netherlands, 2022) and Wolven Huilen Niet Alleen (2020).
