Originally from Grafton, WI, Jodi Dennithorne is an actor, writer, and producer in Los Angeles. While residing in NYC, she performed regularly at UCB-NY with two one-person shows, several improv teams, and a variety of sketch shows. She continued to write and perform in Los Angeles on the stages of UCB-LA, iO West and The Pack Theater. The variety show “ASL Comedy in LA” featuring Deaf Comedians that Jodi wrote, directed, and produced, was sold out during it’s 2 year run at the UCB-LA Theater. Her short comedy film Socially Witching has won several awards in the film festival circuit and her recent (dramedy) TV pilot has received recognition from BlueCat, CineStory, ScreenCraft, and Filmmatic TV Writing contests.

As an actor, Jodi was a lead alongside Justin Jackerson in the Easterseals Award Winning short the The Case of the Obsidian Muskrat. The film took home both the Best Director and Best Editor awards. They will be shooting additional episodes this fall.
She’s also appeared on Nickelodeon’s AwesomenessTV along with the multi-award winning TV mini-series How to Hack Birth Control and the web series Fully Formed Adults. Jodi has also starred in award winning indie films such as Amnesia and Booze, Boys, and Brownies. She has also worked with Deaf West Theater and been in the short film “CODA” (not the Marlee Matlin one) and the Deaf lead film What? that has received numerous acclimations.

Jodi stems from strong comedy roots originating from the UCB Theater in New York in the mid-2000s and has performed at UCBNY, UCBLA, iO West, and The Pack Theater pre-pandemic 2020 days. You can currently see her performing regularly with Big Yellow Taxi in the Glendale Room and Drunkards & Dragons around several Los Angeles improv stages.

When she’s not acting, writing, or working as an ASL Interpreter, she’s trying to get her very fluffy cat to sit on her lap and her dog to stop chewing on her paw.
