Jelle Stiphout (1991) is a conceptual visual artist, (voice) actor, theatre maker, and designer. During his studies at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts (2018), he explored a wide range of disciplines — from opera, music theatre, and site-specific performance to visual arts, performance art, and new media such as games — with a particular focus on the intersections between them.

In 2023, Jelle opened his own fictional amusement park, Stipwoud, which serves as a conceptual framework for his artistic work. That same year, he founded Studio Dooie Mus, a theatre collective dedicated to post-traumatic visual theatre. With the group, he created De Vergadering (2023) and K-HOLE (2024).

As an actor, he has appeared in the feature film De Mannenmaker, the TV series Flikken Maastricht, and a national commercial for de Volkskrant. He also performed as Vincent van Gogh’s brother in an interactive installation at the Van Gogh Museum. On stage, he has appeared in various performances, including Hang me om je heen by PANDA and K-HOLE by Studio Dooie Mus. This autumn, he will appear in a new theatre production — more on that soon.
