Janna Yngwe is a versatile and experienced actress born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden. 

Growing up in a musical household, with both parents being classical musicians, she began playing the cello at the age of four.

Early on, she discovered a passion for acting and gained her first professional experience as a young teenager in the Swedish TV series Kniven i Hjärtat.

She later made her professional stage debut in London’s West End in the play Dorian Gray, playing the female lead, Sibyl Vane. Since then, she has appeared in numerous productions on major stages in London, Germany, and Sweden, as well as on television and in film.

Last year, she made a strong impression as the female lead, Catherine, in the musical Pippin, and she was also recognized for her leading role in the award-winning Här, där drömmarna lever at the Swedish Short Film Festival.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre from the Guildford School of Acting (UK), a professional diploma in Musical Theatre from Millennium Performing Arts (UK), and has also studied at the Stockholm University of the Arts.

Janna brings a wide emotional range to her acting, with a strong dramatic presence and finely tuned comic timing.

She is an experienced voice actor with credits such as dubbing characters for Disney.

As a singer, Janna has performed in a wide variety of concerts over the years, sharing the stage with many of Sweden’s leading artists. She has also appeared on Swedish television in shows such as Allsång på Skansen (SVT, 2019–2023), Nyhetsmorgon,Polarpriset,  Let’s Dance, Idrottsgalan, Don’t Stop the Music,Diabetesgalan, 
and New Years at Skansen (SVT).
