Hannah Severin

Hannah Severin graduated in the class of 2024 in musical theatre at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK).

In her childhood, which she spent in Grünbach am Schneeberg, Lower Austria, Hannah got many opportunities to sing and act for an audience through school, church, the local brass orchestra and music school, where she took singing lessons from the age of nine. With an a cappella band she developed great hearing and a big love for singing demanding vocal ensemble literature. Her first experiences with musical theatre were the school plays in high school, where she was part of the AIDA production and took on the lead role in Hairspray.

During her studies at the MUK, Hannah was part of many concerts and productions, including playing Danielle in Bring It On!, Leading Player in Pippin, Charlotte and Angela in Elegies - Songs for Angels, Punks and Dramaqueens, and a Georg Kreissler staged concert. Hannah has also worked in some Art Films and Performances with Artist Stephanie Winter and in the TV-Krimi Blind ermittelt - Tod an der Donau directed by Anne Zohra Berrached. Hannah’s professional musical theatre debut was the part of Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act at Stadttheater Klagenfurt and she will be seen as Corinna in the new musical Augustin with music by Wolfgang Ambros at Musicalsommer Amstetten 2025.

Hannah is a winner of the 2021 Walter Jurmann Singing and Song Interpretation Competition. 

Since 2018 she is the lead singer of a cover band named Edelbitter and has gained profound experience in the genres Pop, Soul, Rock&Roul, Disco, R&B, Funk and Austropop.
