I’m Glynis Evans — though many know me as Glen The Great — a trailblazing disability advocate, model, and aspiring actress. Born and raised in Romford, I’ve never allowed my disability, Amniotic Band Syndrome, to limit my ambitions. At 36 years old, I’m proud to serve as a role model for people of all ages and abilities.

I made history as the first Black disabled woman to feature in the This Girl Can UK campaign, inspiring millions with my message of resilience, confidence, and self-belief. My work is driven by a deep passion for disability advocacy and a commitment to challenging societal perceptions of what it means to live with a disability.

In January 2024, I had the honour of modelling for Primark’s Adaptive Range — an empowering experience that showcased the importance of inclusivity in fashion and proved that disability is never a limitation.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy swimming and playing badminton, activities that help me stay active and balanced. Above all, I’m dedicated to inspiring others to embrace their individuality and recognise their own unique strengths. As I often say: “My disability does not define me.”

Through my journey as a model and aspiring actress, I continue to break down barriers, open doors, and drive change. My mission is to keep pushing boundaries, champion representation, and show the world that anything is possible.
