Hi

My name is Georgette Djondo and I’m a Togolese actress based in Ireland. I love European film, but American film has my heart. I definitely see myself in a period drama set in the 1900’s. I want to play a woman who has a strong sense of identity. Growing up in a predominantly white neighborhood was an interesting experience. It really exposed that I was an outlier but I stayed true to myself and my culture.

As a child, I learned honesty through physical discipline. My honesty once saved my sister’s life. Even as a child, I was never easily swayed and always spoke the truth.

When I was in university, I met my soul sisters. Their humour was wicked and we got up to all sorts of trouble. The worst you could imagine. When they ended up in court and their names hit the news, I stayed true to myself and walked away before getting caught up. I know that God saved me.

I have a profound entanglement with life and I feel an unwavering connection with film. My main goal is to bring my identity and lived experience into the lives of characters that I will portray.
