Dulcie Smart has enjoyed a flourishing screen career since the mid-90's - including The Ridge for BBC Scotland and Sky New Zealand (2025), Rematch for ARTE and Disney+ UK, Concordia for ZDF Germany.
Theatre work includes The Sound Inside, dir. Stella Reid in Wellington (2025) (Nominated Actor of the Year & Outstanding Performance of the Year 2025), Hamlet, dir. Iain Sinclair in Melbourne (2024) and Blonde Poison by Gail Louw, Closer by Patrick Marber, Top Girls by Caryl Churchill and Vita and Virgina by Eileen Atkins, all in Berlin. Wellington theatre includes lead roles in Shakespeare, Chekhov, Caryl Churchill, Louis Nowra, Lanford Wilson, Sam Shepard. 
Recent films include Dietrich Brüggemann's feature Nö and the biopic Die Bilderkriegerin in which she plays real-life Canadian journalist Kathy Gannon. As a young actress she featured in Mike Newell's Bad Blood, shot in New Zealand.
Dulcie has also worked as an on-air correspondent and news producer for Germany's international broadcaster DW TV - and is a highly experienced voice actor.
