Athanasia Panopoulou is an Athens-based actress with a strong interest in poetic, emotionally driven storytelling. She holds a BA in Communication, Media & Culture from Panteion University and completed her acting training at Arhi Drama School.

Her most recent stage performance was in A Stranger, an adaptation of Albert Camus’s novel, where she portrayed Marie Cardona, engaging deeply with themes of existentialism, alienation, and humanity’s confrontation with morality and faith. She also appeared in the short film The End as Ariadne, a young woman grieving the loss of her mother, who sets out for a place called The End in order to forget her grief, only to realize that healing does not require erasure. 

Alongside her acting work, Athanasia writes her own stories and draws inspiration from Eastern European literature and arthouse cinema, particularly works that are poetic, dystopian, tender, or infused with darkness - influences that continue to shape her artistic voice. She is eager to explore opportunities in film, television and theatre, both locally and internationally. 

For her, stories are a space for emotional truth and transformation and she seeks projects that explore the fragile, fearless and complex inner worlds of their characters.
