Arnau "Barni" Armengol began his professional career as an actor with Quimet Pla and the Teatre Tot Terreny company, touring Catalonia and the Balearic Islands with the street show El General Bum-Bum. He holds a degree in Dramatic Arts from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and was part of the IT Teatre company with the show Esquerdes Parracs Enderrocs, directed by Carles Santos and Jordi Oriol, which premiered at the TNC in the Sala Tallers in 2017. In film, he starred in Sergi Busom's debut feature, Hamlet Okupa, with whom he also worked on Angelus Novus. On television, he has appeared in the daily series La Riera and "Com si fos ahir" on Televisió de Catalunya.
