Originally from Arkansas, Andrew Van Wilpe is now pursuing a life and creative career abroad. He started in stand-up, which taught him how to be present, how to take a hit, and how to tell the truth, even when it makes the room a little uncomfortable. Since then, he's landed roles in Interview with the Vampire and the upcoming Blade Runner 2099. He's drawn to work that reflects real people: flawed, tender, and trying their damnedest to make things work. As a queer actor and writer, his goal is to create bold, meaningful stories that make people feel seen and empowered.
