Anat Stainberg is a multi disciplinary artist; an actress, performance artist and painter.

Born in Tel Aviv where she studied and worked as an actress. 2004 she moved to Europe to continue her studies and graduated with Diploma in Performance from DasArts Amsterdam. Since 2007 she is based in Vienna.

In addition to realizing her own projects, Stainberg works regularly as an actress with the award-winning experimental Viennese theater company 'Toxic Dreams' (Nestroy Theater Prize/Best Off-Production 2019 and the Austrian Arts Award 2022 Performing Arts).

She is part of the curatorial team of the monthly performance series 'DerBloedeDritteMittwoch' and works locally and internationally as a performer and voice artist. 

Stainberg's artworks are owned by the Austrian Theatre Museum (since 2008) and the Fine Arts Collection of the City of Vienna (purchase 2021).
