Ronconi's first lesson was: "Words conceal, they don't reveal." Today, after so many years of work, this is still the mantra I repeat to myself when I read a text. When approaching a text, we always find ourselves having to make an interpretative choice. And it is on the basis of various materials that I would like to show young actors the most in-depth reading possible, show them the possibilities that lie behind a text, and enable them to make that choice. Behind every word lies a mysterious and fascinating world. Words are actions, facts that happen, bodies in motion. Our task is to decode the text, to get used to reading, to get used to interpretative processes that are not the immediate ones of "feeling." Possessing a critical mind and a solid reading ability are the goals we must pursue.
