Alin Wishka is an actor based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is known for his co-starring role in the feature film DIE MIDDAG (2023), now streaming on Amazon Prime. He has a recurring role in the very first CANAL+ Original from the Netherlands, the crime series EEN VAN ONS (2024), that was nominated for a Golden Calf (the Dutch Oscars). His most recent (supporting) role was in the feature film IEDEREEN IS VAN DE WERELD (2025) that is being screened at different international film festivals and is also streaming on Amazon Prime. Alin recently wrapped in Morocco for a supporting role in the upcoming Kevin Costner production: THE FIRST CHRISTMAS (2025), to be released on Dec 9 on ABC. He is currently (Nov 2025) shooting a recurring featured role in Athens for a few months, for an internationally acclaimed series (yet to be publicly announced).

Brief background:

Alin Wishka emigrated with his family at the age of 9 from Iran to The Netherlands. He graduated for his Bachelor's in Commercial Economics at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in 2005 and for his Masters in Film & Media (Communication Science) at University of Amsterdam in 2009. Since his childhood he was fond of the performing arts and at the age of twelve he caught the acting bug when he performed a dual-part as a nosy journalist and an acrobat in an elementary school play.

Next to his university studies, he joined acting intensives at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York, The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles and received acting training at different theatre institutions in Amsterdam, in disciplines such as Stanislavski, Method Acting, Theatre Acting, Improvisation and Film Acting.

By now he has more than a decade of experience in film, television, theatre and commercials. Besides acting he also enjoys working behind the camera, telling stories in fiction.
